The 2011 Los Angeles Haunted Hayride will take a deeper look into the minds of the Clifton Twins. The daughters of Zoo Keeper Ferdinand Clifton were rumored for years to suffer from violent nightmares so uncontrollable they were treated for sleep disorders. Their journals, which documented these ghastly visions, were found in their entirety and the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride has recreated their contents.

After 2 years of sending Los Angelenos into the woods for the most horrifying experience in LA, Haunted Hayrides are no longer just an east coast tradition. Hay filled wagons wander through a high-octane fantasy world in the woods to tell an original story that exploits the most disturbing fears that live in us all. Welcome to a NEW 25-minute experience that leaves you as the prey for 15-foot tall mascots of death, 400-year old children, clowns interested in a bit more than just clowning around and lots of others who may have decided to come into the woods to play. Don’t miss what FOX, NBC, CBS, ABC, MTV, G4, E, Access Hollywood, and so many others have called “TERRIFYING & AWESOME.”
The In Between (MAZE)
Bigger and taller than ever before, test your courage as you enter the dark. Not for the faint at heart, this attraction will send you into a sea of blackness with nothing but the hands in front of you, and a low voltage lantern to guide your group. The demons and maniacs residing in these walls have not seen light in decades. They have mutated to the darkness, which means you can’t see them but they can see you. If you don’t choose your turns wisely, you will be faced with encounters repeatedly until your heart starts beating faster and faster. Your neck and palms start getting sweatier and sweatier and it’s getting harder to breathe. Looks like you’ll have to pull the “I’m a baby” ripcord, signaling the LA Haunted Hayride staff to make an emergency extraction of you. But hey, that’s what we’re here for. See you in the dark!
The Human Menagerie (Side Show)
Exactly as the name would imply, our collection of humans will entertain you while you wait. Black Magic, Psychics, demonic stilt walkers, as well as food servers that look a little too much like the food they are serving and many others in our collection are all DYING for your attention. Within “The Human Menagerie” you will also find games, a pumpkin patch, 2010’s favorite and most unique dark ride “The Scary-Go-Round,” and more. New this year, all activities in “The Human Menagerie” are included in your ticket excluding food and merchandise
Note* The one thing you will not find in our menagerie is animals. While we are collectors of humans, Ten Thirty One Productions and the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride firmly opposes animal captivity and the exploitation of live animals for entertainment in amusement parks, theme parks, or any other event or attraction.

From THE WEST (West LA, Santa Monica)
Take 10E to 110N to 5N. Take Exit 141B/Griffith Park and travel about ¼ a mile and trun right onto Crystal Springs Ave. Follow sings to Merry Go Round and you will see Hayride Signs.
From THE NORTH WEST VALLEY (Encino, Van Nuys)
Take 405N to 101S to 134E to 5S. Exit Los Feliz Blvd. West (toward Hollywood), turn right at Crystal Springs entering Griffith Park. Follow signs to Merry Go Round and you will see Hayride signs.
From SANTA CLARITA/NEWHALL area,
Take 5S. Exit Los Feliz Blvd. West (toward Hollywood), turn right at Crystal Springs entering Griffith Park. Follow signs to Merry Go Round and you will see Hayride signs.
From THE EAST (San Gabriel Valley, Pomona)
Take 60W or 10W to 5N. Exit toward Griffith Park, turn right at Crystal Springs Drive. Follow Signs towards Merry Go Round and you will see Hayride Signs.
SAFETY INFORMATION
The Hayride and Maze are not recommended for children under 8 years of age. It is a high scare, high startle content experience. There will be no refunds after a ticket is purchased and a patron has entered the hayride.
The Hayride and Maze are not recommended for people with heart or back problems, pregnant women, people prone to seizures or anyone who has an affliction that is made worse by fear, anxiety or flashing lights. Also, this event is not recommended for anyone with health issues that can be made worse or aggravated by riding this ride and/or any other form of participation. Ride at your own risk.
DO NOT SMOKE OR LIGHT FIRE OF ANY KIND ON THE PREMISES, Large Fines will be issued to any persons caught smoking on the grounds of Griffith Park.
